Let’s check them out so you can pick the one which fits your individual needs the best. After all, you want to get the max out of your p90x workouts right?

Here is the first one!

1. Fitbit Charge 3 – The Winner

I’m going to start with many people’s favorite brand when it comes to fitness trackers – Fitbit.

With all great features, battery life and accurate metrics I do believe Fitbit Charge 3 is the best fitness tracker for p90x and above.

I’m pretty aware that when it was released it was full of issues but because many of them have been fixed during that period so that’s why I have added it on this list.

Even if this tracker is not the cheapest option on the market it’s still a great choice for people who have a little higher budget to spend and want to have something well made and worth the money.

Every functionality is collected into this compact, simplistic and good looking design.

In addition to that people share that the strap holding everything in place is comfortable on the wrist. The weight of the whole smartwatch is low and won’t bother you during explosive movements.

What I really like about this specific product is the fact that the display is touchscreen.

I know that in our modern time this doesn’t sound unique but the touchscreen display is the main difference higher price gives you if we compare it to some least expensive models.

I really prefer having a touchscreen over buttons because it’s way easier and faster to navigate to where you want to get.

The display handles well in a lot of situations and has nice colors but is not great in direct sunlight. The main features you are getting with this fitness tracker are 24/7 heart rate tracking, number of burnt calories and sleep duration and quality.

The Fitbit Charge 3 also connects to your phone’s GPS to make sure you have real distance, pace, steps, end other sensitive information right at your disposal.

All sensors are good and the data you receive is pretty accurate.

Some additional useful features you may like are time and date, real-time weather, messages, texts, calendar notifications, individual goals to follow, stopwatch, the ability to read and even reply to messages, etc.

As you can see this little machine is packed with many great and useful features that make it worth every penny.

You can connect it to both Android or iOS using Bluetooth so you can have direct access to the great Fitbit App that comes with the tracker.

The fitness tracker has good and easy to read interface, many positive reviews and it’s useful for showing real-time data on your phone 24/7.

Even with so many things the battery is upgraded from the previous model and can hold up to 7 days of use with only 2 hours of charging.

Those numbers are better than most models and it places Fitbit Charge 3 somewhere in the middle battery life range.

Another really important feature is that this fitness tracker is 100% sweat and water-resistant meaning you can freely wear it in the shower, pool, river or bathtub.

Everything is backup up by a 1-year warranty and decent customer service.

Quick Summary:

Even if this is not the cheapest product I still believe it’s worth every penny because of the convenient touchscreen, good battery life, accurate data and ton of important and useful features you get.

And let’s not forget the fact that it’s made from a big well-known brand.

2. Lintelek Slim Fitness Tracker – Best Budget

The second product I’m going to review has a very affordable price and even with that it still has all the basic features you need. It also has decent quality and most importantly – many happy customers.

The design of the tracker is very slim (even slimmer than the Fitbit Charge 3), lightweight and very compact.

If you are looking for a fitness tracker that can easily blend with any outfit and could be hidden away then you might like Lintelek Slim.

It uses replaceable wrist straps that come in 5 different colors to choose from. That way you can easily wear different colors every day.

This model has all the essential features of a good p90x fitness tracker – a heart rate monitor, calorie counter, pedometer, and a sleep tracker in one place.

In addition that you are given the ability to track distance, active minutes, get notified for missed calls, texts or social media messages during your workouts.

This smartwatch can also help you wake up with a silent vibrating alarm clock and it has even the option to take control of your camera for those long distant selfies you always dreamed for.

As you can see for such great price you are getting a lot of helpful features you can use in your daily life.

The battery life is also decent and it can last about 5 to 7 days per charge. What I find very interesting and unique is the way it charges.

Instead of the traditional USB cable, this tracker has a built-in USB jack right into the design so you won’t need any cables to charge it. Simply remove the strap, plug it on your computer or power bank and voila – you can use it again after about 2 hours.

Isn’t that cool?

I find this feature very clever and convenient because one of the first things that stop working is usually the USB cable. (especially in my case..)

It’s compatible with both Android and iOS so you can easily sync it to the VeryFit Pro app and save your results for 7 days.

Unfortunately, even with its waterproof abilities you can’t really swim or dive wearing it. Instead, it can withstand easily the usual sweat, splash, rain or snow. Depending on what you look for this might be a problem for you or not.

The Lintelek does also comes with an 18-month warranty which is bigger than the traditional 12-month similar products have. The extra 6 months are a good thing to have because electronics are the category of products that tend to have issues after a while.

Quick Summary:

With its cheap price, compact design, clever charging and good number of features I find this product made by Lintelek to be something really worth the price. You can’t really get much than that. If you are on a tight budget it’s definitely worth a shot.

3. FITFORT Fitness Tracker – Can Measure Blood Pressure

What I do like about the third option from this list is the fact that it does come with a blood pressure monitor. That is something unique and I’m sure it can be very useful for some people.

Even without this addition, this is another affordable product that offers good value per price.

It uses the same innovative charging technology as the previous tracker meaning that you should forget USB cables – you don’t need them anymore.

The battery life is also decent and with only 1-2 hours of charging you can have a tracker that is going to be active for around 7 days.

That’s not bad considering the price and number of features it offers. Speaking of features you are also getting a 24/7 heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, pedometer, calorie counter, distance tracker, help taking remote pictures and receive reminders to stay healthy during the day.

As you can see it’s well-packed with useful features many people enjoy.

Everything is collected into a small frame and use a colorful display that is sadly not a touchscreen. Unfortunately, the brightness isn’t enough for direct sunlight but despite that the menu is quite easy to navigate.

Everything is compact and lightweight so if you don’t think about it you can easily forget that you are wearing it – yep, I’m 100% serious.

As usual, it can connect to both iOS and Android smartphones so you can transfer all your data and other metrics to the VeryFit Pro App.

Even if you don’t have the time to do so the display is big enough so you can check out your metrics from there.

It has the best waterproof abilities meaning it’s 100% protected from sweat, swimming, rain, etc.

If you really enjoy swimming this might be a good choice for you.

The FITFORT Fitness Tracker comes with the standard 1-year warranty which is enough to protect you when needed.

And as a bonus, you also get pretty decent customer service at your disposal.

Quick Summary:

This simple, yet effective fitness tracker has everything you really need for a p90x workout. It is lightweight, packed with great features, uses complete waterproof design and has decent battery life and price.

Even if it’s not ideal it’s still something worth checking because of the affordable price.

4. L8star Fitness Tracker – Biggest Battery

What makes this model different from the rest is the huge battery life and the wide and big display

With one single 2 hour charge this fitness tracker can hold up to 30 days ot regular use and about 60 days of standby.

I really don’t know how did they managed to do it but it certainly does beat the average industry standard of about 5-7 days.

People are also very happy with the display. Because of its larger size, it uses bigger and bolder text and it has good brightness against direct sunlight.

The overall quality and price are good and you are getting quite a lot for that amount of money.

The adjustable strap is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and is made to fit most people in the wrist range of 6.5 to 10 inches.

A cool little addition I like is the fact that you get a free additional strap in different color so you have the ability to change them whatever you like.

Speaking about features this tracker has the usual heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, pedometer, calorie counter, etc.

Customers are happy with the overall accuracy of the metrics and I have to agree with them.

Inaccurate data is the main issue with cheaper fitness trackers but you won’t have such a thing using L8star.

Additional things you may find useful are that you can receive messages and calendar notifications in real-time. You can also read and save up to 10 messages directly on the tracker/watch.

You also get a sedentary reminder (quite useful), remote camera capture (for all those selfies you have dreamed about) and silent alarm (that is something I would kill for).

As you can see for yourself this model has everything you need for your p90x training and beyond.

You can connect with to both Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth so you can get real-time data transferred directly on your phone 24/7.

Finally, I want to mention that like all the previous products this fitness tracker is waterproof as well to some extent.

You can wear it while washing your hands or during a heavy rain or snowfall but unfortunately, you can’t have it on your hand while going for a swim or a bath.

I know these details may not be important for the majority of you but for all water lovers don’t get depressed.. Check the other 4 products!

Even with its not that great water abilities and some other flaws the L8star Fitness Tracker still deserves to be on this list because of all the great things it brings on the table or even better – the total number of happy customers it has.

Quick Summary:

If you are looking for a fitness tracker that can work for a while without the need to constantly recharge it take a closer look at what L8star has to offer.

With its powerful battery their product is also stacked with useful features, good sized display, and extra wristband. And you get all of that for a good price.

5. BingoFit Epic Fitness Tracker – Best Style

We are going to end up this list with what I and a lot of people will have to agree is the most stylish and at the same time functional fitness tracker.

And that’s not all. You have to check out their stainless steel option! Even if for some strange reason you don’t like it you can still choose one of the other 4 options they provide you with.

The BingoFit tracker uses an adjustable strap that can fit people with wrists from 5.9 inches up to 9.4 (I believe this hits the majority pretty well).

The traditional watch-like round display is bright enough to work great in sunlight and decently big so you won’t have a hard time seeing the small text. The extra width is very useful because it can fit many different stats on the screen at the same time.

People share that even if the display isn’t really touchscreen (as every other model in this price range) it’s still very easy to use and navigate.

Speaking of price range this model is again very affordable I have to say that besides the good look you are also getting all the important functionality you need for p90x and all kinds of other similar activities.

The main features you are probably going to need and use regularly are the heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, the number of calories burned, and the total distance and steps you did throughout the day.

Another great addition is the fact that this tracker uses GPS tracking so all the data you get will be accurate.

As you can see all the basic features are included with this fitness tracker. But wait we are not finished. There is also a sedentary reminder, blood pressure tracker, music control, remote camera control, and of course notifications so you don’t miss out anything important when your phone is not near.

I’m humbled to say that this tracker is not different from a normal watch because it can also tell you the time, date and weather.

Enough features, let’s talk about battery life. For the time of 2 hours of charging you are getting in return about 4-5 days of usage.

That’s not too bad but it isn’t going to win an award because of it. I may say 4-5 days is the average battery life for the industry so nothing special here.

Unfortunately, you can’t use it for swimming and diving but it can easily withstand a lot of sweat, rain or splash water.

And you also get the traditional 1-year warranty and good customer service to complain to… or ask questions.

Quick Summary:

This tracker doesn’t just look cool – it does also do the job right and helps you get accurate real-time data 24/7 whih you can use for your advantage.

The price is good, it has all the important features you need and everything comes in a big and colorful display. If you think it’s going to fit your needs go for it, you can’t go wrong.

8 Important Features to look for in the best fitness tracker for P90X and P90X3

Before you jump in and spend money on this great device I would recommend you to take a quick look and read about these features because that information could save you a lot of hassle and money in the long term.

If you take the time to read it you are making sure that you are really buying something of high quality that you probably won’t regret having later on.

Enough talking. Let’s start with the first one…

1. Battery Life & Charging Time

We are going to start with battery life because I believe this is the second most important thing you should care about after the amount of money you are going to pay.

There isn’t anything more annoying than constantly having to check and worry about the battery life of your device or having to recharge it every other day.

And to make things even worse every battery has a certain amount of lifespan and the more frequently you charge it the sooner it will start to become weaker and weaker…

My rule of thumb is to ignore products that can’t work with a single charge for less than 3-4 days.

Luckily all products from this list have running times longer than that (one of them can even last 30 days). So if you decide to pick one of them you won’t have to face such problems.

Another thing you should take into consideration is the charging time it takes your device to go from 0 to 100%.

I know how annoying it can be to wait 3 or 4 hours something to charge and at the same time you really have to go out and use it in about 1 hour…

So please, go for products which batteries require only 1 or 2 hours to get fully charged.

Anything more than that is bad and in my opinion should be skipped no matter what are you looking for.

Finally, I want to add up that some products have a very clever way of charging not requiring a USB cable because they have built-in USB connector right into the design.

Although this is not a life-changing invention I find it very convenient and useful because you won’t need to carry and use a USB cable around. And let’s not forget that the cable is the thing that most often stops working properly after a while and can lead to stumbling and things flying around.

2. Waterproof Capabilities

Because you are going to sweat a lot during your workouts and are probably going to wear it throughout the day proper water resistance is an essential part of every good fitness tracker.

If you stumble upon on a model that doesn’t offer at least the basic water protection I would suggest you to skip it.

Trackers could be split into 2 main categories when it comes to water resistance – basic and full protection.

Depending on where and how you decide to use your tracker you should go for the one or the other.

The basic water protection is designed for day to day activities such as sweating during the workout, washing your hands, working out during light rain or snowfall. That protection could easily withstand water splashes, etc.

The full water resistance can withstand all of that plus it can also endure swimming, diving, and soaking in water (not hot). Most models can usually withstand dept of about 30 to 50 meters.

If swimming is a really important part of your training and you want to use your fitness tracker during the activity make sure it’s fully water-resistant or look for the IP68 water protection.

3. Does it have the 4 essential features & how accurate are they?

Because many of the models are quite similar to one another that ends up them having almost the same exact features. That’s why you should look for models that should offer you these 4 features as a basic start.

Take a close look and try to remember them.

  • Heart rate monitor
  • Sleep tracker
  • Calories tracker
  • Pedometer

Even if a certain product does have all 4 of them that doesn’t really mean the data you get is accurate.

Unfortunately, in some cases, accuracy depends on the price you are going to pay.

The more expensive models usually connect to your phone’s GPS location and use it to track your exact location in order to count your steps and distance more accurately.

So a good thing you can do is find out if the tracker of your choice uses your phone’s GPS to track your location or not. Another factor you should check out is the accuracy of the heart rate monitor and in some cases the blood pressure monitor.

Both are highly dependant on the quality of the sensor and the technology it uses. With the higher price you usually get better sensors and more accurate technology.

Another thing you have to consider is how many useful features does a device has and even more importantly – how many of them are you going to actually really need and use?

At the end of the day, all this information is pretty much useless if the device you buy doesn’t track what you want it to track so before you buy your favorite fitness tracker make sure it does have everything you are looking for.

After that check how accurate is the data you get. If everything is fine – go for it!

You can easily find out just from reading what previous customers have to say.

4. How good is the display?

Because this is the place from which you are going to turn on and off all the functions and read all the data it’s important to take some time and check it out before you pick a model. Trust me, it’s going to be great if you end up with a good display.

A good display consists of these 6 things:

  • How well does the display work against direct sunlight? – Unfortunately I personally have this issue with a lot of my electronic devices and know how annoying it can be not to be able to read a thing. That’s why I believe this detail may be really important for you if you workout regularly outside. I do believe visibility is directly influenced by the brightness of the screen. So if this is a big concern for you look for devices that can provide you with a high amount of brightness.
  • How bright is the screen? – As you read this goes hand in hand with the previous concern but it is also very important for seeing in the dark. One downside to the high amounts of light is that the higher the brightness the faster your battery will drain. So use it only when you really have to.
  • Is it touchscreen or not? – Even if this is not a must-have owning a touchscreen display can really help with the overall convenience and working speed. That’s why every single phone today uses a touchscreen instead of buttons – it’s simply better. But having the ability to touch your screen does come with a higher price.
  • Is it colorful or is it black and white? – While there isn’t a big difference between them colorful displays do tend to require more energy. Even so, that is won’t be a big deal if you have a solid battery with a big capacity. Go for what you feel comfortable with.
  • What is the size of the display? – Depending on what you are looking for there are thinner and wider screens. The thinner ones do have a more compact design and they are usually more comfortable to wear but bigger and wider screens have more space to show you more data at once. They also do have bigger and bolder letters and are easier to navigate. As you can see there isn’t a definitive winner so pick what you like.
  • Is it easy to use and change the menu? – Common problem is that some devices tend not to do a smooth and fast transition between different screens or are simply too complicated and slow to use. Make sure to pick a product that doesn’t have such problems.

At the end of the day, you don’t really have to follow strictly the 6 things I have shared.

Choose a product that uses a display you find comfortable and is going to make you happy using on a regular basis.

5. Device Compatibility & App

Before you purchase a fitness tracker you have to make sure it’s 100% compatible with your smartphone device. Luckily for you, all 5 products above do work well with both Android and iOS.

A few additional things you should look for are the quality of the Bluetooth connection and the range it uses so both devices can stay connected

The average range of similar Bluetooth devices connect is about 33 feet or 10 meters.

Depending on how far you want to keep your phone during your workouts and daily activities take that into consideration. But for most people, such details aren’t that important.

What you should be more worried about is the quality of that connection – make sure it’s good and strong.

After the tracker connects to your phone it has to have a way to transfer all the data it tracks. That’s done with a companion or a third party App you have to download and install.

Quick Tip:

If the name of the app a specific fitness tracker uses is mentioned on the product page make sure to do a quick research and see how good is the rating online and what do other people think about it.

Doing this is somewhat important because once purchased you are going to have to use it daily and if the app is poorly programmed and has very limited options it would be a real pain in the neck…

Finally, make sure you are getting wireless syncing with real-time results on the display of your phone for the best possible experience.

It’s very annoying if you have to wait with a delay because it could ruin your workout.

6. How easy it is to use?

In my life, I have faced a lot of devices that are very complicated and hard to use. In order not to make the same mistake make sure the tracker you want to use is simple and easy to use.

You can achieve this by following some simple guidelines. You can find all the answers you seek directly inside the product reviews and details.

The things that could help are:

  • Learn if there are any good instructions provided with your purchase.
  • Find out how easy it is to navigate and use the product.
  • Is the application it uses user-friendly?
  • etc.

I know it may take a few extra minutes to find all that info but I believe in the end it’s worth it. It might save you a lot of headaches and learning time in the future.

7. How long it is going to last?

I know that there isn’t a way to specifically measure that but there are things that can guide you. For example, see what previous owners share.

If you read repeatedly how the product suddenly stopped working after X amount of days, weeks or months I would recommend you stay away from it because it apparently has some quality issues.

Of course, don’t be too scared because all devices that use electronics do have some bad units and things do sometimes stop working.

That’s why try to find out how often do these types of problems occur so you don’t end up on the backside of the blade.

8. Price, Warranty & Customer Service

When buying a good fitness tracker you should aim to pay somewhere between $30 – $200 depending on your budget and needs.

As you can see there is quite a big gap when it comes to prices and usually, the pricier products do end up more accurate and convenient.

That doesn’t mean cheaper products are bad and inaccurate because that’s far from the truth. As you can see from the list above I managed to find both accurate and well-made products from both price ranges.

At the end of the day go for a product you believe it’s worth the price.

A great way to do that is to see the total number of features, battery life, display, compatibility, application, size, and weight and simply trust your gut – it wouldn’t lie.

That’s why it’s important to read and know all those features I’m talking about. With the help of this chapter, you are going to make way more accurate and informative decision which is going to end up pretty well for you in the long term.

For the price, you are going to pay make sure the smartwatch has all the important features you need for tracking down your P90X workouts and beyond.

Also, make sure it has at least a 1-year warranty and responsive and helpful customer service behind your back. Those 2 things are essential if something happens and you have to fix it.

It won’t hurt to also check the returns and refunds the company of your choice offers.

Final Thoughts

Well, now you understand what are the real benefits you can get from wearing a fitness tracker.

I really hope you have read the whole thing so you can take an informed decision and purchase something that is worth the money and it’s going to last a long time.

Because all 5 products are proven to be good by hundreds or thousands of people you won’t really make a mistake if you decide to go for one of them.

If you have some budget to spend I highly recommend you to go for the Fitbit Charge 3.

It’s improved version is really unmatched when it comes to quality and features. You really get everything you need from it.
